HIGHLIGHTS

  • As the Associate Head Coach at Indiana University, Buckley has helped the program reach the NCAA Tournament three times, the Sweet 16 twice, won a Big Ten Championship, and has recruited three top-10 NBA draft picks (Oladipo, Zeller, Vonleh)

  • As the head coach at Ball State University, Buckley has an overall record of 143-139 including a 2002 season that earned him MAC West Division Conference Championship and an Elite Eight appearance in the NCAA NIT Tournament

  • As an assistant coach at Marquette University, Buckley helped recruit NBA superstar Dwyane Wade and reached the 2nd round of the 2008 NCAA Tournament

  • Worked under Steve Alford at the University of Iowa

  • Also spent time as an assistant coach at the University of Wisconsin, appearing in the 1994 NCAA Tournament, and Ball State University, the 1995 MAC Tournament Champions

  • Earned his Bachelors Degree in Communications and Masters Degree in Physical Education Administration from Bemidji State University, and was inducted into the Athletic Hall of Fame in 2011
